I travel quite a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having dinner alone in local restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in MYRTLE BEACH SC where I ate at Carolines Cafe and I saw a new piece about bamboo. I had no idea you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great possibility for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and got a couple basic items of clothing.
I have to admit I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I found some other interesting pieces of information on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
