I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up having my dinner alone in local restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in MUSKEGON MI where I ate at Stagecoach Bar-B-Que and I came across an interesting cover story to do with bamboo. I did not realise you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a great possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and purchased some pieces of clothing.
I have to tell you I was extremely impressed. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I discovered some incredible details on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
