I move around a lot for my job and so usually end up eating all alone in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in MURFREESBORO TN where I ate at Quiznos Subs and I saw an interesting cover story about bamboo. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased some basic items of clothing.

I should tell you I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a bit more research I discovered some more interesting details on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find some information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
