I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in MONTROSE CO where I ate at Sicily's Italian Restaurant and I read an interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a good possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got a few basic items of clothing.

I have to say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After some more research I discovered some more incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
