I move around a lot for my studies and so usually end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in MONTGOMERY VILLAGE MD where I ate at Sir Walter Raleigh Inns - Corporation Office and I came across a new piece to do with bamboo. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and bought a couple items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was extremely impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. I also noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a bit more research I found some other incredible pieces of information on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
