I move around a lot for my studies and so usually end up having dinner alone in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in MONROE MI where I ate at Soto's Mexican Restaurant and I came across a new article on bamboo. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a good option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got a few basic items of clothing.
I must say I was pretty impressed. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I discovered some interesting facts on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
