I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in MODESTO CA where I ate at LA Perla Tapatia and I came across a new piece about bamboo. I had no idea you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased some pieces of clothing.

I must tell you I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After some more research I found out some other amazing facts to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
