I move around a lot for my work and so usually end up eating alone in restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in MINNEAPOLIS MN where I ate at Dairy Queen Orange Julius and I saw a new article on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great option for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and got some items of clothing.

I should say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a bit more research I found some amazing facts on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
