I move around a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating all alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in MINNEAPOLIS MN where I ate at Herkimer Pub & Brewery and I came across a really interesting article to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased a few pieces of clothing.

I must say I was very impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

After a bit more research I discovered some more incredible details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find some information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
