I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in MINNEAPOLIS MN where I ate at BEVS Winebar and I read a new piece about bamboo clothes. I had no idea you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a great choice for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I went online and bought some items of clothing.
I have to admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
After some more research I discovered some other amazing details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
