I travel quite a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in MILWAUKEE WI where I ate at Hampton Coffee Shop and I came across a new piece to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good option for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I must admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
After some more research I discovered some amazing details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
