I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up eating by myself in restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in MIDDLETOWN RI where I ate at Pickles-A Deli and I read an interesting article to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a good possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased some items of clothing.

I should say I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a little more research I found out some amazing facts on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
