I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in MIDDLETOWN RI where I ate at Inn At Newport Beach and I saw a new article on bamboo. I had no idea you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great choice for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought some basic items of clothing.
I should admit I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I discovered some other incredible pieces of information on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
