I travel a lot for my work and so often end up eating all alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in MIDDLETOWN NJ where I ate at China Palace and I saw a new article to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a great choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got a couple basic items of clothing.
I should say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I found out some more interesting pieces of information about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
