I travel a lot for my job and so often end up eating by myself in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in MIAMI BEACH FL where I ate at Frescos Restaurant and I came across a new article to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.

I should tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. I also noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a bit more research I found some incredible facts on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
