I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in MIAMI FL where I ate at Burritos Grill Cafe and I came across a really interesting article about bamboo clothing. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a good option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased some items of clothing.

I must say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a bit more research I found some more incredible facts to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
