I move around a lot for my job and so often end up eating by myself in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in MIAMI FL where I ate at Sam Woo Chinese and I saw a new piece to do with bamboo. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased some pieces of clothing.

I must tell you I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

After a bit more research I discovered some other incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
