I move around a lot for my work and so often end up eating all alone in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in MIAMI FL where I ate at Mario the Baker and I read a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and got a few pieces of clothing.

I have to admit I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

After a little more research I found out some more incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
