I move around a lot for my work and so often end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in MIAMI FL where I ate at House Of Sun and I saw a really interesting article on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.

I should admit I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. I also noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

After a little more research I discovered some more amazing details to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
