I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in MIAMI FL where I ate at Rios Italian Restaurant & Pizza and I came across an interesting article about bamboo clothing. I did not know you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got a few items of clothing.
I must tell you I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. I also noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I found out some other amazing facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
