I travel a lot for my work and so regularly end up eating by myself in restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in MC FARLAND KS where I ate at Oasis Bar & Grill and I read a new piece on bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a good option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I went online and got a couple basic items of clothing.

I must say I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a bit more research I found out some amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
