I move around a lot for my studies and so usually end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in MATTITUCK NY where I ate at Do Little's and I read an interesting article to do with bamboo clothing. I did not realise you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I went online and got a couple items of clothing.

I should tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry after I took it from the washing machine which I found to be great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

After a little more research I found out some other incredible details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs very little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, socks, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
