I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in MARSEILLES IL where I ate at Cafe On Main and I came across a new article about bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and got some basic items of clothing.

I must say I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

After some more research I discovered some incredible facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs very little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
