I move around a lot for my job and so usually end up having dinner all alone in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in MARLBOROUGH MA where I ate at Hampton Inn Boston - Marlborough and I came across a new piece on bamboo. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought some items of clothing.
I must admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a little more research I found some interesting details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs very little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
