I move around a lot for my work and so often end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in MARINETTE WI where I ate at Best Western and I read a new article on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought some pieces of clothing.
I must say I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a bit more research I found out some incredible details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
