I travel quite a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in MAPLEWOOD NJ where I ate at Pizza Primo and I came across a new cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a excellent option for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I went online and got some basic items of clothing.

I should tell you I was very impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a bit more research I found out some amazing facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
