I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in MAPLE VALLEY WA where I ate at China Light and I read a really interesting article about bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased some items of clothing.

I must say I was extremely impressed. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a little more research I found some more incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
