I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in MAGNOLIA MS where I ate at Rimes Grocery and I saw a really interesting article to do with bamboo. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a good choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased a few items of clothing.

I should say I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a little more research I found some interesting details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find some information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
