I travel a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in MADISON WI where I ate at Bialy Brown's State Street Delicatessen and I came across a new cover story to do with bamboo. I had no idea you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a great option for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got some items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

After some more research I found some more incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
