I move around a lot for my job and so often end up having my dinner alone in restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in MADISON WI where I ate at LA Hacienda Restaurant and I came across an interesting piece to do with bamboo. I did not realise you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I went online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.

I should admit I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I found out some more incredible facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find some information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
