I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in MACOMB IL where I ate at Sunrise Family Restaurant and I came across an interesting piece to do with bamboo. I did not realise you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.
I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a bit more research I discovered some incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
