I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in LUDLOW VT where I ate at Cafe at Delight and I saw a new piece about bamboo clothing. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent option for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought a couple items of clothing.
I must admit I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a little more research I discovered some other amazing facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo needs little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
