I move around a lot for my work and so often end up having dinner alone in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in LUBBOCK TX where I ate at Crickets Grill & Draft House and I saw a new article to do with bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.

I should tell you I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After some more research I discovered some other incredible details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
