I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up eating alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in LOWELL MA where I ate at Seasoned Chef and I read a new article about bamboo clothing. I did not realise you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.

I have to say I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

Bamboo Clothing LOWELL

After a little more research I discovered some incredible pieces of information on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
