I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up eating by myself in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in LOUISVILLE KY where I ate at MOBY Dick Seafood Restaurants and I read a really interesting article on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got a few items of clothing.
I should say I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it from the washing machine which I think is great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a little more research I found some interesting details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
