I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner by myself in cafes. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in LOUISVILLE KY where I ate at Siggy's Pizza & Pub and I came across an interesting cover story on bamboo. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a excellent option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and bought some basic items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a bit more research I found out some incredible details to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
