I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner alone in local restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in LOUISVILLE KY where I ate at Chung King Palace and I read a really interesting article on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you can make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got some pieces of clothing.
I should say I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I found out some interesting pieces of information on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
