I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner all alone in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in LOS ANGELES CA where I ate at Mr Angelo's Pizza and I saw a really interesting article to do with bamboo. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great possibility for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a bit more research I found out some other incredible details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
