I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up eating alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in LONG BEACH MS where I ate at Drews Restaurant and I read a really interesting article on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.
I have to say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a little more research I found out some incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
