I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up having my dinner all alone in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in LIVERPOOL PA where I ate at Lowe's Restaurant and I read a really interesting piece to do with bamboo. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and got a few basic items of clothing.

I should tell you I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

After some more research I found out some more incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
