I move around a lot for my studies and so usually end up having my dinner alone in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in LITTLETON CO where I ate at Mcdonald's Restaurant Carlson and I came across an interesting article about bamboo clothing. I did not realise you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good choice for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got a few items of clothing.

I have to say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a bit more research I found some more amazing details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find some articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
