I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in LITTLETON NH where I ate at Clam Shell Restaurant and I read a new cover story to do with bamboo. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a good option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and bought some items of clothing.
I should tell you I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry when I took it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I discovered some other amazing details to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
