I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up eating by myself in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in LITTLE ROCK AR where I ate at Town Pump and I came across an interesting article about bamboo clothing. I had no idea you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a good choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got a few pieces of clothing.
I have to say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I think is amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I found some other incredible details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
