I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up eating alone in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in LILLINGTON NC where I ate at Fish Fry and I saw an interesting article about bamboo clothes. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a great possibility for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got a couple items of clothing.
I should admit I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a bit more research I found some other amazing details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
