I travel quite a lot for my studies and so regularly end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in LIBBY MT where I ate at Ho WUN Chinese Restaurant and I read a new cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I did not realise you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a good possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought a few items of clothing.
I have to admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a bit more research I found some other amazing details on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses very little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
