I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in LEXINGTON KY where I ate at LA Gourmet Pizza and I came across a new article on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got a couple items of clothing.

I should tell you I was extremely impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a bit more research I found out some more amazing details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
