I travel a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating alone in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in LEOMINSTER MA where I ate at Select Restaurant Management and I saw a really interesting piece about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.
I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a little more research I discovered some other amazing details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
