I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up eating all alone in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in LEANDER TX where I ate at Mr Gatti's and I came across a new article about bamboo clothes. I did not know you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and bought a few basic items of clothing.
I should say I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I discovered some amazing details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
