I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up having my dinner all alone in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in LAWRENCEVILLE GA where I ate at Red's Backwoods Barbecue and I came across an interesting piece about bamboo clothing. I had no idea you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a good possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got some items of clothing.

I must admit I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a little more research I found some amazing facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
