I travel a lot for my job and so often end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in LAWRENCE KS where I ate at Charlies Eastside Bar & Grill and I saw a really interesting piece about bamboo. I did not know you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased a few pieces of clothing.

I must admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

Bamboo Clothing LAWRENCE

After a bit more research I found out some incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
